Children’s Day Camp & Summer Program
We believe summer should be filled with excitement, imagination, and opportunities to grow. That’s why our camps go beyond traditional daycare experiences—offering a full day of hands-on activities, outdoor fun, and field trips across the Des Moines Metro. From games in the park to exploring new places with friends, our campers stay active, engaged, and smiling all day long.
With convenient locations in Clive and Waukee, a trusted team of energetic counselors, and a schedule designed to balance fun and learning, Day Camp Adventures is the perfect place for your child to make memories that last all summer. Our sites are open to children entering kindergarten through seventh grade.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
Our summer days start at one of our home sites in Clive or Waukee, where campers enjoy playtime, games, and team-building activities as they arrive.
A typical day includes:
- Morning and afternoon field trips to local parks and attractions
- Lunch breaks at a park or on-site during field trips
- Fun, engaging activities designed to challenge, stimulate, and entertain
At Day Camp Adventures, every summer day is packed with adventure, learning, and lasting memories.
Pickup, Drop-Off, and Daily Logistics
Campers may be dropped off and picked up at the following times:
- Drop-off: 7:00 – 8:30 AM
- Pickup: 4:30 – 5:45 PM
For safety and accountability, attendance sheets must be:
- Signed by the adult dropping off the camper
- Signed again when the camper is picked up
We also love the chance to greet parents, answer questions, and share updates about your child’s day!
How to Enroll Your Camper
To enroll in Day Camp Adventures please complete the following:
- Complete our online enrollment process.
- Familiarize yourself with our policies and procedures. You can find this information on the pages of this site.
- Make the first payment in order to complete the enrollment process. (At this time we would only need the tuition for the first week that you are enrolled. All other payments can be made weekly during the summer.)

Failure to send payment within 10 days may result in un-enrollment from DCA. With that being said, failure to pay does not signify unenrollment. Should you choose to un-enroll we ask that you contact us so that we can help complete that process.
Enrollment Tuition
Tuition for Day Camp Adventures is $215 per week. Weekly tuition includes transportation costs and field trip expenses. We also offer a daily rate of $50 per day with a minimum of 2 days per week. We feel that this weekly price is competitive for outstanding childcare, but also necessary to provide the highest quality and number of field trips.
We ask that the first week’s tuition accompany your enrollment form. For all weeks after that, payment can be made at the park when your child is dropped off the first day that they attend that week.
Explore Our Clive & Waukee Locations
Day Camp Adventures operates from six sites located throughout the Des Moines suburbs. These sites operate independently of one another with the exception of a few field trips. Our staff will be located at the parks and waiting to greet you and your child.
Campbell Park – Clive:
South of Hickman Road. Take 128th Street to Woodland Parkway. Go East on Woodland Parkway. The park is located just past the softball diamonds.
Country Club Glen – Clive (Near Waukee)
North of Hickman Road. Take Berkshire Parkway to the roundabout, turn right on Sheridan Avenue. The park is located behind Des Moines Pediatrics.
Wildwood Park – Clive:
South of Hickman Road off of Boone Drive. Turn East onto Wildwood Drive. The park entrance will be on the right hand side.
GymSpace – Waukee:
1120 SE Westbrook Drive, Waukee. South of Hickman. Take Alice’s Road to Westbrook Drive. We are the second building on the right hand side with the WAC Softball logo above the door.
Stonegate Park – Clive:
15280 Boston Parkway, Clive. North of Hickman Road, East of 156th Street.
Greenbelt Park – Clive:
South of Hickman, East of 100th Street (tucked behind Horizon Events Center and Revision Church) – follow the drive from the entrance of the park and it will lead you to the shelter and play equipment at the back of the park.
Occasionally parents ask us what the “best site” is. Well, that would be like picking a favorite child—and despite what our kids might tell you we don’t have favorite kids (plus it would be the dog anyway). We strongly believe that all of our sites offer great experiences for our campers.
